Research On Female Image In Domestic Animated Film

As a visual symbol,the female image in cartoons condense the imagination of the creators and carry the cultural content,meanwhile the audiences are attracted by the successful female image to dig deep into the spiritual meaning behind.Through the analysis of the female image in cartoon art,it can be seen that female images,as the visual symbol,lag behind the development of the times.For a long time,they are dominated by the visual presentation of the patriarchal society,appearing as the weak or the subordinate images.To address the above issues,this research work takes the female characters in the animated movie “Big Fish & Begonia” as an example to explore the construction of the female images in the animated movies in the new period.Firstly,this paper will analyze the female image construction in animated movies from the following four aspects: cartoons,women,and aesthetic relationships;gaze and the others;the analysis of female image in domestic animated movies under the theory of the others;the change of the female from the others to themselves.Secondly,the movie “Big Fish & Begonia” is taken as an example to analyze the image of the chief actress Chun from the perspective of modeling,character,and symbols,meanwhile the image of the supporting actress is analyzed with the stereotyping Shu Po and Ling Po,the beautified Lei Zu,and the popularized Feng.Thirdly,we will analyze the realistic soil,totem worship,and ecological feminism that the female image of “Big Fish & Begonia” builds on thereby interpreting its social implications.Finally,the diversified trend of the female ima ge shaping in animated movies is elaborated by enhancing the design of female characters,making the female image more national,shaping the distinctive female images and the international characteristics of the female images.Compared with the treatment of weakening women in previous animations,the female construction in “Big Fish & Begonia” highlights a positive aspect.The chief actress Chun is not conformist and has independent thinking ability.She listens to her inner voice and pursues the value of her own existence.The design of the supporting actress reflects the characteristics of a hodgepodge.The characters of different styles appear in the same picture,which makes the choice of images in the film random and satisfies the aesthetic taste of different audiences.However,the design of the female characters in domestic animated films still needs to be improved,and the female images in future animated films should embody a distinct flavor of the times.The creator needs to integrate the physiological and psychological characteristics of women and the real status of women in the family and society,extracting the common characteristics of modern women,integrating the personality characteristics of the roles,and creating a representative female image of the time.We should pay attention to the expression of the national elements,extracting the beneficial elements of traditional national culture,and combine them with the characteristics of the times for a second creation,which is in line with the aesthetic taste of the audience,and thus constructing a female image with oriental charm.At the same time,it is necessary to enhance the symbolic design of the female role modeling,highlight the typical character of the female role,and enable female image to have the international atmosphere on the basis of the nationality.
