The 1980 s was a critical period for the development of modern and contemporary Chinese art.During this period,there were many artists with far-reaching influences.Among them,Gu Wenda,Xu Bing,Wu Shanzhuan,etc.used words as a new medium for artistic creation and became contemporary Chinese.Art is the forerunner of incorporating text into visual art creation.At the same time,artists such as Gu Wenda,Xu Bing,and Wu Shanzhuan also have overseas experience.The difference in Eastern and Western cultures has led to their creations being particularly topical in the international perspective,which has caused heated discussions in the art world.The creation of writing as a medium involves the exploration of the form of works of art in Western contemporary art and the philosophical discussion therein.In the Chinese art tradition,writing has always been an important art category and a symbol of traditional culture.Since the 1980 s,artists 'experiments on the art of writing have combined the intellectual introduction of Western art history and the reflection and borrowing of traditional Chinese culture.This article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is about the occurrence of contemporary writing art;the second chapter mainly analyzes the writing art practice of the three artists represented by the writing media art creation in the 1980 s and 1990 s,and proceeds from the typical works of the artists.Specific analysis.The third chapter explains the different aspects of Chinese contemporary writing art.
