A Comparative Study On The Role Design Of Female Classic Villain In Chinese And American Animated Film(1990-2018)

This paper takes the classic female villain characters created in Chinese and American animation films as the research object,and explores the reasons for the differences and changes in the shaping of female villain animation characters between China and the United States from 1990 to 2018.From 1990 to 2018,many wonderful female villains were created in the animation films of China and the United States.Through research,there are great differences in the shaping of female villains in the animation films of China and the United States in terms of appearance and character.However,compared with the more and more humanized cartoon female villains in the United States,the female villains in Chinese animation films lack the sense of hierarchy.Through research,the factors that promote the change of the role of female villain are not only the drama artistry,but also the deeper cultural influence.1990 is the time starting point for Chinese animation films to flourish again.It is also the time node for the third wave of feminism and the exchange and dissemination of foreign animation culture in China.The reasons for the transformation of the role of female villain in animation films in the two countries are related to the progress of feminism in the two countries.This paper first compares the similarities and differences between the two countries in the aspects of hairstyle,facial features design,costume design and props used,then discusses and compares the different processes of the transformation of their character,color,shape and aesthetic audience,and analyzes the reasons and influences of these changes,and analyzes the reverse foil of these changes to the decent character building from the perspective of feminism With,for the future animation film theme change and direction of exploration in-depth value mining.
