A Supplement To The Interpretation Of The "Sequel To Luoyang's Newly Acquired Epitaph"

As the original material,the epitaph is extremely authentic.It showed the writing characteristics of the society at that time and provided physical information for the study of the social history of the time.There are many epitaph materials unearthed in China successively,and the correct interpretation of these materials is the premise of studying them.It is inevitable that there will be some omissions in the process of interpretation.Later generations will collate on the basis of previous studies,which will make the interpretation of these precious materials more accurate and facilitate the in-depth study of scholars in other fields.This article uses "Sequel to Luoyang's Newly Acquired Epitaph" published by Science Press as research material.It is a newly unearthed epitaph collected by Luoyang City Second Cultural Relics Task Force in urban areas of Luoyang,Mengjin,Yichuan,Yanshi,etc.A total of 304 square epitaphs were collected,most of which were from the Tang Dynasty.This article takes "Luoyang Xinhuo Epitaph Sequel" as the research material,and mainly corrects the misinterpretation of the texts in the epitaph due to ignorance of allusions,unfamiliar writing,and misidentification of fonts.This article is divided into six chapters,the main structure is as follows:The first chapter introduction,mainly introduces the research significance,research status and research methods of this epitaph.The second chapter examines the misinterpretations and uninterpretations caused by unclear allusions in the "Sequel of Luoyang Xinhuo Epitaph".Because of the unclear allusions,the interpretation is often based on the extension glyph and misinterpreted as other characters very similar to its glyph.The third chapter examines the errors caused by unclear vulgar writing in the "Sequel to Luoyang Xinhuo Epitaph".The fourth chapter examines the corruption caused by similarity.In the fifth chapter,some parts of the sentence are read incorrectly,unblock the language,and break the sentence again.The sixth chapter examines and explains some of the unexplained predecessors in the "Sequel to Luoyang's Newly Obtained Epitaph" to fill in the gaps.
