The Aesthetic Experimental Study On Perceptual Fluency

To study the processing mechanism of aesthetic psychology of perceptual fluency.Based on three types of experimental stimuli and whether they have received professional art training,this paper explores the influence of perceptual fluency on the aesthetic cognition and emotional response of viewers to stimuli in the unconscious and conscious state.This study consists of behavioral experiments ? subjective reports and eye movement experiment.It adopts subliminal perceptual priming paradigm,classification paradigm and aesthetic preference assessment paradigm,including four formal experiments.Experiment 1 explored the aesthetic preference response of art group trained by art specialty and ordinary group not trained by art specialty by using subliminal perceptual priming paradigm as procedure;Experiment 2 used 120 black-and-white abstract geometric figures designed and produced by ourselves as experimental stimulus,using simple picture selection paradigm,and asked art and ordinary professional subjects to bias.In the Experiments 3 and 4,the real pictures of art and clothing were selected as experimental stimulus,and the behavior experiment and eye movement experiment were used to observe and explore the psychological processing mechanism of aesthetic.The basis of former research and aesthetic experiments are as follows:(1)aesthetic judgment is influenced by the fluency of perception,and the physical characteristics with better overall perception promote positive emotional evaluation through perceptual processing.(2)The aesthetic emotion level of art subjects for different types of stimulation is higher than that of non art subjects,and the art group has a more positive aesthetic emotion for the physical characteristics that are difficult to process.(3)Professional art training can be used as a reference index to measure perceptual fluency,especially for abstract and less familiar pictures.(4)The individual who has received professional art training has a greater advantage in the processing of abstract geometry,showing a higher level of perception than the art novice,and the eye movement experiment has been further proved.
