Secondary vocational education is an important part of China 's education system,and it undertakes the historical mission of cultivating high-quality technical talents needed to support the transformation and upgrading of China 's manufacturing industry and the production front line.Especially with the deepening of reforms,the intelligentization of manufacturing industry is urgent.First-line technical talents with good English application skills are needed.As an important part of the modern education system,English teaching in secondary vocational schools plays an important role in cultivating students to adapt to the trend of social development and improving their English application ability.VR(Virtual Reality)technology is used in English teaching.Compared with traditional English teaching,it can change the classroom interaction mode between teachers and students,provide students with a new English learning environment,and make the classroom teaching content more realistic.The organic integration of VR technology and classroom teaching can stimulate students' interest in learning English and improve students' English level.This paper first explains the research background of the subject.In the era of information technology being widely used in teaching,VR technology can better promote teaching and make the teaching effect more obvious.It has become a very popular new technology at this stage.;Through the investigation of the teaching school,objectively summarized the current status of vocational education and the actual situation of vocational school English learning;summarized the application of the technology in the education industry at home and abroad,and proposed the purpose of this research significance.Secondly,sort out the VR-related concepts and focus on key VR technologies.This research focuses on the design of VR scene teaching and traditional classroom teaching.Taking the English course of 16-level mechanical and electrical architecture students in Ruyang County Secondary Specialized School as an example,the three-month teaching practice is adopted to The results of the teaching are compared,and specific score data are obtained.Through the analysis of the results,students in the VR scene teaching group have made greater progress in vocabulary judgment,completion of dialogue,and Chinese-English translation.The excellent rate of English scores in the whole group was as high as 43%,and the passing rate reached 100%.Studying the real scene created by VR technology has greatly increased the students' interest in learning,and the classroom teaching effect has been significantly improved.The development trend of education informatization is to move towards virtualization and intelligence.The application of VR to the process of education and teaching is of great significance to the development of modernization of my country's vocational education informatization.
