With the globalization of the world economy and the deepening of society informatization,English has become the most widely used means of communication around the world.The Secondary English Curriculum Standard(2011)clearly advocates task-based language teaching method.Teachers are required to use task-based language teaching method to develop students' ability of doing things in English.However,the present situation of English teaching in the secondary vocational schools is worrying.English teaching is hard to carry out and the teaching quality cannot be guaranteed.The entire teaching and learning is in an embarrassing state.Task-based language teaching method emphasizes on learning English by doing things.Students develop their communicative competence by completing various tasks in English.It can be said that task-based teaching is an effective way to promote the reform of English teaching in secondary vocational schools.The development of information technology has brought about profound influence on the reform of teaching.The information technology provides the ideal technical support for the task-based teaching: creating a real and lively learning environment,providing rich teaching resources,optimizing the evaluation process and evaluation tools and achieving personalized teaching.The integration of information technology and English task-based teaching can stimulate students' interest of English learning,cultivate students' communicative and cooperative ability and improve their ability of using language.The integration of information technology and curriculum has become the developing trend of English teaching reform.This paper attempts to explore the reform path of English teaching in secondary vocational schools through the integration of information technology and task-based teaching.This paper mainly studies the feasibility of task-based teaching method applied in secondary vocational school under information technology circumstances.The author studies the questions through teaching experiment as follows:(1)Whether theapplication of TBLT in Secondary Vocational English Teaching under Information Technology Circumstances can stimulate students' interest in learning and improve their enthusiasm?(2)Whether the application of TBLT in Secondary Vocational English Teaching under Information Technology Circumstances can improve the students' comprehensive ability of using English?The study was conducted at the author's school,which lasted for one semester.Questionnaires,interview and tests were used as research tools in this study.At the initial stage of the experiment,the first questionnaire was conducted to provide the evidence for the implementation of teaching reform.At the same time,the author judged the students' actual English ability by doing a pre-test.After the pre-test,the author used the different teaching modes in two classes.In the final stage of the experiment,the students took part in the post-test.The author collected the relevant data and judged if the students in experimental class had improved their scores significantly.The differences between experimental class and control class were also analyzed after the post-test.At the same time,the second questionnaire and one interview were used to investigate the students' attitudes to the new teaching methods and suggestions for task-based English teaching under information technology circumstances.The following conclusions are drawn: Task-based teaching method under information technology circumstances is an English teaching model suitable for secondary vocational schools.It is helpful to change the teaching situation of vocational English teaching and improve the effectiveness of the English class.It is also helpful to stimulate students' learning interest and learning motivation,improve the students' comprehensive ability of using English.
