| The relevant military service archives collected by Xihe County Archives in Gansu Province during the Anti-Japanese War are not only important historical documents,but also modern paper cultural relics.Studying it can not only reflect the contribution made by Xihe County in conscription during the comprehensive Anti-Japanese War,but also have reference significance for the arrangement,value and utilization of archival paper cultural relics.This paper makes a research and analysis by using the method of literature research on the basis of the field practice of Xihe Archives.According to the classification standards of official documents during the period of the Republic of China,the relevant military service archives of Xihe and existing military service files during the Anti-Japanese War can be divided into seven types of official documents:orders,instructions,directives,notices,official communication,official letters and telegrams.After on-the-spot investigation,it is found that although this kind of archives has a better preservation environment in Xihe Archives,there are still some problems that need to be further improved.Through the interpretation and analysis of the contents of this file,it finds that Xihe County actively responded to the government's call,fulfilled the conscription obligation,and made due contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.Xihe County actively carried out the statistical work of household registration,and obtained the household registration and the total population of the county,which provided a basis for conscription.Xihe County had also successively set up three conscription organizations,namely,the Military Service Association,the Conscription Committee,and the Committee for Preferential Treatment of Family Members of Soldiers going out to fight against the enemy.During the eight-year Anti-Japanese War,more than 5600 soldiers were sent to the front.1/10 strong men in Xihe County had actively performed national military service every year since 1942.Thus it can be seen that Xihe County conscription had achieved good results and made due contributions to the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan.Xihe archives have many values,such as academic research,historical documents,cultural relics,economic and social value,which should be developed and utilized reasonably. |
