Hypnosis has a long history, and it is widely used in psychological counseling, psychotherapy, and clinical medicine. However, some people can easily enter a hypnotic state, while others are difficult. From the perspective of the individual being hypnotized, the researchers found that the hypnotic susceptibility may be affected by subjective characteristics and states such as personality, imagination, imaginability, attention, expectation, age and gender. However, hypnosis is a process in which the hypnotist and the hypnotized person interact with each other. There is relationship and interaction between the two.In the past, few studies have focused on the social interaction ability of the hypnotized person from an interpersonal perspective. In the individual's social interaction,self-other control is an ability to distinguish the intention of one's actions from the actions of others and regulate the conflict between the two.It plays an important role in advanced cognitive fields such as empathy, movement imitation control, and opinion selection.A high level of self-other control is helpful to distinguish the information of the self and others, and the possible conflicts between the two can be regulated.Conversely,a lower level of self-other control is not conducive to distinguished regulation. So,do individuals with high hypnotic sensitivity tend to have a higher level of self-other control than individuals with low hypnotic sensitivity?Experiment 1 compared the self-other control of high and low hypnotic susceptibility subjects.Using the Harvard Group Hypnotic Susceptibility Scale A,31 high and low hypnotic susceptibility subjects were selected from 355 subjects, and then the self-other control of all subjects was evaluated by imitation suppression task. The experimental results found that compared with the subjects with low hypnotic susceptibility, the consistency effect of the subjects with high hypnotic susceptibility was smaller.Experiment 2 further investigated the relationship between hypnotic sensibility and self-other control through self-other control strength and weakness training.36 subjects were randomly divided into self-other control strengthening group and weakened group, and then two groups of subjects were trained for 5 days of self-other control, and the self-other control strengthening group and weakened group hypnotic susceptibility scale score were investigated.Variety.The experimental results found that after the self-other control intensive training was performed in the enhanced group, the hypnotic susceptibility scale score increased;after the weakened group self-other control weakened training, the hypnotic susceptibility scale score decreased accordingly. This study shows that individuals with high hypnotic sensitivity tend to have a higher level of self-other control than individuals with low hypnotic sensitivity.
