Lu Yin is an important female writer in the Pioneer Period of the "May 4th" new literature,the only woman among the first group of members of the Literature Research Association,and one of the first modern female writers to awaken after receiving the enlightenment of male-dominated discourse.In the sentimental "May 4th" era,Lu was infected with the sad sentiment of the times.As well as coincided with the new literature movement in her University era,Lu personally experienced the baptism of the "May 4th" cultural thought,which made her show empathy about the "May 4th" new culture.In response to the call of "enlightenment" of New Culture and New Literature Movement,Lu Yin entered the literary world with problematic novels,so her literary creation road was inseparable from the influence of the "May 4th" era.In the novel,Lu Yin created a series of "May 4th" new female images inspired by the thought trend of the times with the delicate brushwork unique to women,which describes the misfortunes and sorrows suffered by women in this old and the new alternated era,so most of the work are filled with strong sadness.In order to have a deeper interpretation of Lu Yin,and understand the sad sentiment of the times and the significance in Lu Yin's creation,this article examines Lu Yin's creation process and works from the aesthetic perspective of sadness,trying to explore the following questions: how was Lu Yin promoted by the "May 4th" wave and stepped onto the literary world to become the first-generation female writer in new literature? How did she sense many social and cultural trends in the "May 4th" era and join the "problematic novel" creation team? How does her work write about the concerns of the "May 4th" New Culture Movement? How to describe women in male enlightenment? How is the correspondence between her works and the "May 4th" culture? What are their aesthetic characteristics? The author believes: 1.As the first-generation writer of new literature,her creation is consistent with the aim of the "May 4th" New Culture Movement and the integrity of the "May 4th" new literature writing,which are the inseparable part of the "May 4th" problematic novels and women's writing,thus it infects the miserable atmosphere of the "May 4th" literature.2.Consistent with women's liberation and speech in the "May 4th" literature,and with her unique life experiences and women's self-feelings,her works not only have the imprint of self-narration and self-writing sadness,but also has become the whooping elegy of the times.Around the above problems,the thesis will discuss from three parts: the first chapter tries to restore the growth environment of Lu Yin by combining the tragic atmosphere and gloomy tragic implication of the "May 4th" literary world,which is in order to explore how she was influenced by the trend of the times and stepped into the literary world,and how her works reflected the trend of the times and so on.This chapter takes the magazine Novel Monthly,which published an article in the early stage of Lu Yin,as the window to explore the lamentability of the "May 4th" literary world and the influence of the Literature Research Association on Lu Yin's ideological values and literary views.The second chapter takes the love novel writing tradition of "May 4th" as the starting point,and uses Lu Yin's own bumpy love experience and sex narration in her works,to explore the correlation between the self-description of Lu Yin's love and the lament of the times.The third chapter interprets the unique tragic aesthetic character of Lu Yin's works and also discusses the relationship between his tragic character aesthetically and the aesthetic atmosphere of new literature tragedy in the May 4th era from three aspects: the melancholy beauty of emotion,the chilly beauty of image and the classical beauty of language.
