Semiotics is a new subject which takes semiotics as its research object, and linguistic signs occupy the core position in semiotics. The concept of “name” in the context of Pre-Qin China is very similar to that of linguistic symbols, while Huishi,a famous representative, focuses on the speculative theory of Chinese linguistic symbols words. The ten propositions of “Li Wu Zhi Yi” reveal the following ideas:first, the sign of“absolute concept” can't be referred to,that is,the semantics thought of “no reference”;second, the pragmatics thought that the relative concept transforms with the way of thinking of the symbol users and the environment they live in;and third, the morphology thought that "present" and "past" as tense words have implicit provisions for verbs such as“come” and “go”.Based on the explanation of “Li Wu Zhi Yi”,the semiotics thought embodied in it is sorted out and explained. This is of great significance to the construction of a new theoretical system of Chinese philosophy, especially linguistics and Semiotics in the Chinese context, and to the promotion of the international dissemination of Chinese traditional ideas.
