The use of singing plays a vital role in violin performance.As Salvatore Accardo repeatedly stressed when talking about performance,"When talking about singing,one should pay attention to breathing." He demanded that students should be able to sing their own melodies and stressed that all violin works have strong singing ability.It can be said that how to make a "pleasant" sound with musical significance has become the lifelong goal pursued by all generations of performers.The sound that accords with the meaning of music is undoubtedly the "singing" sound that is closest to people.For a long time,singing has become a mysterious means of musical expression that can only be understood but can not be explained.The performer focuses on his performance as a song while the audience roams about in the pleasure brought by the beautiful melody.However,the existing literature on "the singing nature of the violin" mostly focuses on subjective description.Starting from the meaning of "singing nature",this paper takes dvorak's Violin Concerto in A Minor as an example to explore the singing nature of violin performance.
