With the proposal of the rural revitalization strategy, rural development has become an inevitable trend, and rural architecture,as one of the driving forces of rural development, plays an important role in revitalizing the countryside.America rural architecture is well-known in the world, which is worth learning from. Therefore, this report takes chapter one to thirteen of Rural Architecture written by American writer Allen Lewis Falley as practical materials.Under the guidance of the Skopos Theory of Translation, the report studies the characteristics of texts of architecture and analyzes the translation strategies of postpositive attributives in this type of text.Rural Architecture belongs to the text of science and technology, with rigorous language and formal style. In this context,in order to realize the professionalism and unity of terminologies,we must sort out and study these terms to ensure the readability and accuracy of the translation.Chapter one to thirteen of the book respectively introduces the detailed information of various parts of rural architecture, such as building site selection, building materials, etc. In the process of translation, the translator finds that postpositive attributives appear frequently in this practical text, such as non-predicate verbs as postpositive attributives, attributive clauses and prepositional phrases as postpositive attributives. Therefore, the translator sets the study of postpositive attributives as the most important part of this practice report.Through this translation practice report, the translator makes a case study of the postpositive attributives in the text under the guidance of the Skopos Theory of Translation in order to explore the translation methods of postpositive attributes in architectural texts through induction and summarization, which can provide reference for the translation of related texts in the future.
