Study On Lingnan Writing In Tang Novels

The Lingnan region of the Tang Dynasty roughly included the present-day Guangxi Province,Guangdong Province,Hainan Province and the northern part of Vietnam.The unique natural environment of the Lingnan region created its climate characteristics different from the northern Central Plains region,and also gave birth to mountains and rivers different from the Central Plains region.Properties and customs,along with the migration of northern officials and literati to the south,the unique customs of the Lingnan area gradually entered the vision of the northern Central Plains people.There are also many descriptions of Lingnan customs in Tang Dynasty novels.Some of the authors of Tang Dynasty novels involving Lingnan writing are native Lingnan people,some are officials serving in Lingnan or literati who have been demoted and exiled to the Lingnan region.They actively or passively accept the nourishment of the Lingnan environment,which is different from the Lingnan style of the Central Plains culture.They became the material for their literary creations.In their novels,they introduced the magnificent mountains and rivers,strange vegetation,magical animals and other natural features of the Lingnan region,and recorded and displayed the social customs of the Lingnan region such as food,drug production,marriage and funeral,etc.From the legend of Thor,the legend of Dragon Mother,the legend of Yangcheng and other folklore that are talked about in the Lingnan area,they draw nourishment to create novels,reflecting the psychological characteristics of the Tang people's advocating Taoism and peculiarities and the inclusive style of the Tang Dynasty.This article is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,based on statistics and analysis of the novels written by Lingnan in the Tang Dynasty novels,it sorts out more than 400 collections of 11 legendary novels and 32 notebook novels written by Lingnan in the Tang Dynasty novels.Then the content,and make a comprehensive explanation.The second and third chapters analyze the text of the novel closely and analogically through the sorting and summary of the literature,and interpret the Lingnan writing presented in the novel in detail.The second chapter describes the magical and diverse Lingnan natural style,from the climatic characteristics,the magic Animals,exotic plants,mineral resources,etc.enriched the Lingnan style of the Tang Dynasty.Chapter 3 analyzes the social customs of Lingnan presented in the Lingnan writings of Tang Dynasty novels,starting with food customs,drug making customs,imagination of ghosts and ghosts,marriage and funeral customs,etc.Interpretation of the Tang people's impression of the times of Lingnan.Chapter Four analyzes and expounds the writing style of Lingnan in Tang Dynasty novels from two aspects: literary style and note-taking style.The fifth chapter analyzes the characteristics of Lingnan writing in Tang novels based on the background of novel creation and the author's personal experience,analyzes the reasons for Lingnan writing and Tang people's mentality,and analyzes the special psychology conveyed or revealed by Tang Dynasty novelists in Lingnan writing,To further show the Lingnan writing style of Tang Dynasty novels,supplement the study of Lingnan culture in Tang Dynasty literature,and enrich the content of Tang Dynasty literature research.
