Based on the research methods of social history and intellectual history,this paper will go back to that era and fine the true situation of moral education and practice of Taizhou School in that time1.Through the cross study of social history and intellectual history,this paper will explore the reasons why the movement of Taizhou School appeared in the middle and late Ming Dynasty? How to influence society? What role has it played in the process of history? What's the value to the present age?Taizhou School is known as China's Enlightenment school,which plays an important role in the study of intellectual history in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.The moral education and practice of Taizhou School inherited the characteristics of Yangming philosophy,which emphasized practice,combined the thought movement with social reform,and walked out of its own unique road of social reform.However,the existing research on the Taizhou School often focuses on the philosopher itself,and lacks the attention to the era of the philosopher.This paper will return to the era firstly,find out the social problems and contradictions at that time,and find out the reason and influence of Taizhou School's persuading the good movement in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.There were two serious social problems in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.The first problem is the change of social climate.The second problem is the crisis in governance caused by the change of the basic level governance system.These twoproblems constitute the cruel social reality in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.The rapid development of Commerce in the middle and late Ming Dynasty resulted in the change of the whole social ethos.The first thing to Taizhou School should to do is how to improve the social moral.Philosophers of Taizhou School believe that only education can inspire people's wisdom,and only education can awaken conscience.Taizhou School,affected by the corruption of the government,turned to practice another way to realize the people,hoping to achieve the goal of social reform through the awakening of the conscience of every people.Taizhou School used many ways to push the moral education and practice in middle and late Ming dynasty?Wang Gen's "Everybody are Sages" provides a theoretical basis for the Moral education and practice movement."Huainan Gewu" provides a practical path for the moral education and practice movement.Wang Gen's "Wang Dao Lun" also established a new way to his social reform.On the one hand,through education,can improve people's moral level;on the other hand,to recover the social order and rebuild the basic level governance system.Although the movement of moral education and practice was not successful at that time,it did not mean that it was worthless.Taizhou School embodies a lot of ideas and practice methods in the movement,which are of profound significance to today's society.First of all,Taizhou School always adhere to the dominant position of the people in the social reform and trust the people's power in the social reform.In this era,people also should be trust and make social reform that is really beneficial to the people.Secondly,the emphasis on the social responsibility of each person is an idea that Taizhou scholars always adhere to.He Xinyin emphasized to break everyone's selfish desire to stress that everyone should realize his responsibility of the home and country.Families form our country,and the prosperity and stability of the country will eventually benefit every family.Finally,Taizhou School's Moral education broke the traditional mode of Confucian teaching.Philosophers of Taizhou school use the language that common people understood to propagate the Confucianism.This way of Propaganda should bevalued and used in this time.
