| News cartoon is a unique form of news media.It has obtained indomitable vitality under the trend of reading pictures,as a result of the profound thoughts and the clever artistry.From the perspective of news,news cartoons are different from the text reports and the news photography.From the perspective of comics,news comics are different from the story cartoons and the 4-panel cartoons.News cartoons break the barrier of the language.It has a strong practical significance for both internal communication and international communication in the context of China’s new era.This paper takes the 855 news cartoons produced by China Daily in the past three years as samples,take the Vatican Dick’s discourse analysis theory and multimodal metaphor theory as the basis,and take the discourse production process of news cartoon as the research foothold.Then deeply discusses the rules and advantages of news cartoons as a form of communication,and reveals some rules of the discourse production process of news cartoons.In the production process of news cartoon,the discourse of news cartoon has gone through the two process from construction to metaphor.In the process of discourse construction,the discourse of news cartoons are completely different from the story cartoons and the 4-panel cartoons.The discourse content consisted of the facts and the opinions,and is closely related to ideas of the newspapers.In the process of discourse metaphor,the discourse of news cartoons are completely different from that of text reports and news photography.The discourse is expressed through the elements of cartoons,and this process is accompanied by two metaphors--metaphor of elements of cartoons and metaphor of context of cartoons. |
