Women's Political Participation Research On The Influence Of Their Social Capital

Social capital is a kind of resources owed to the social members because of their position in social structure.It reflects the association between the social subjects,and it is a kind of invisible influence of social behavior.Social capital has a great influence on the social development,and promotes social efficiency through the influence of people cooperation,standardization and action.Social capital is invisible,and is embedded in the social network and organizations.The person is unable to share social capital directly as social individual,but he can use it through the establishment of associations with other members of the society to form a social network connection.Constitution of our courtry advocates gender equality,and women have the right to participate in political activities,but these rights are not met in the practice of political participation.The quantity and quality of women in our country are lower than that of men in political participation.From the perspective of social capital,women in the current society takes more family responsibilities and social network is formed with family as the core.The number of women's participation in political organizations is small,and attention of social is far lower than that of the men,resulting in the low proportion of women in politics.Minqin County is located in the western region of our country,and has a poor condition of traffic and information.On the whole,women's enthusiasm in participation of the politics is low.Women's participation in political life is affected by the social capital largely.According to the data from investigation,firstly,there are decreasing in kinship,geopolitical relations in women's social trust of social capital in hand.Their political intentions are affected by the people who are closer to them.In the perspective of social reciprocity and standards,although they are familiar with relatives and neighbors,the mutual behavior of both sides is less.In the participation of social groups and organizations,the number and frequency of women's participation in social group activities are relatively low.Secondly,the enthusiasm of women's initiative political participation is low,and the passive participation in political activities is just the right to participate in the election.The respondents of women who are interviewed are indifferent;thirdly,community factor,trust factor and reciprocity of social capital have an influence on women's political participation.The objective community factor has a positive effect on women's political participation,and the traditional community factor for women to participate in politics plays a significant role in promoting.Women's political participation in Minqin County to a certain extent reflects women's political participation in the western region of the state.From the perspective of social capital,combined with the theory of social capital and political participation,analyzing the status of social capital,political participation and approaches of political participation of the women in Minqin County,combined with the influences of different factors of social capital,concluding the effect of social capital on the political participation of women in Minqin County,all these leads to a positive significance in promoting the improvement of women's rights and the equality between men and women.
