Research On The Method Of Peaceful Settlement Of Territorial Disputes

The dispute over the territorial sovereignty concerns the stability of the country's borders.How to resolve territorial disputes has become an issue of increasing concern in the modern international community.The international community is constantly changing.We should continue to develop the theory of international law and seek a peaceful solution to the territorial disputes.This study has comprehensively dealt with the main situation of the territorial disputes in the world,the methods for peaceful settlement of territorial disputes,and the analysis of the development of peaceful solutions.The first chapter of the article comprehensively analyzes the distribution of territorial disputes in the world and the main factors that trigger territorial disputes.Since World War II,the international community has been in a stable state,but the disputes between regions or sovereign countries have continued.There are many factors that trigger territorial disputes,including the old colonialism,ethnic and religious issues,and the influence of post-World War II hegemonism.The second chapter of the article discusses the traditional methods for solving the territorial disputes in the countries in international practice and the new methods that have emerged in recent years.In the international practice,the traditional way of peacefully resolving territorial disputes mainly refers to legal methods and political methods.The new methods of peacefully resolving territorial disputes include temporary solutions,referendums,and comanagement and control,among which the conditions for application of various methods are clearly discussed.The third chapter of the article discusses the development and analysis of methods for the peaceful settlement of territorial disputes and the methods that our country applies to settling territorial disputes.China has always adopted a relatively stable policy for resolving territorial disputes,but in the face of different international conditions,it should adopt different solutions,innovate thinking,and resolve territorial disputes peacefully.
