Historical Memory And Ethnic Group Interaction

Sansheng Slope is a multi-ethnic mixed area.Han,Miao,Dong,Zhuang,Yao and other ethnic cultures gather on this common stage.Under the pattern of multiculturalism,Caomiao Group,as a relatively disadvantaged ethnic group,are impacted by different strengths and in-depth cultures in interactions with different ethnic groups.This paper uses the theory of ethnic group relations,based on field surveys,historical memory as an entry point,and through combing literature,inspects three villages located in Hunan Province,Guizhou Province,and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture.The article explores how the Caomiao Group maintain and strengthen their relationships within the family based on past historical memory so as to maintain the core of their ethnic culture.At the same time,the Caomiao Group do not stand still and maintain a set of inter-ethnic interaction strategies while maintaining intra-ethnic relations.The historical memory is the basis of Cao Miao's original ethnic group.Within the Cao Miao ethnic group,internal unity is strengthened through intra-familial marriage,collective guest and singing love songs,and the daily interactions have crossed the geographical restrictions and formed a set of customary Humanity norms.From the standpoint of inter-ethnic interaction,Cao Miao constructed the acquired kinship relations with the surrounding Yi and Han ethnic groups through the folk belief system,and together adhered to the principle of friendship and mutual benefit.Through the economic and trade exchanges,the ethnic groups promoted their relationship and emerged.Cultural output and input;in terms of language use,the Miao language and the Slang language can be directly communicated.Most of the Caomiao Group can grasp and can use the Chinese language to communicate.The use of Chinese language is expanding;the traditional festivals of Caomiao Group gradually become more the festivals participated in by the ethnic groups strengthened their mutual recognition in the process of interacting with the surrounding ethnic groups.As the exchanges between different ethnic groups deepened,the cultural symbolic features of ethnic boundaries began to blur.This study believes that the result of this interaction does not impair Caomiao Group' self-identity.On the contrary,ethnic awareness has been strengthened to some extent.In recent years,the grass-and-mowing people began to reconstruct the historical memory of the ethnic group,especially the elite intellectuals within the ethnic group,and played a key role in the construction of ethnic culture.In addition,because of the influence of mainstream culture,the cultural traditions of minorities in the intercultural exchanges are in a weak position.Many minority members accept the mainstream culture in a subtle manner and appear to be culturally assimilated.
