The new generation of migrant workers is a new force for urban construction and industrial development in our country.Orderly promotion of the new generation of migrant workers' citizenization is the ultimate solution to their identity dilemma, and it is also an inevitable choice to achieve new urbanization and rural modernization. In the context of the fact that the institutional environment tends to improve, the citizenization ability has become a key factor affecting the process of the new generation of migrant workers' citizenization. This article is based on a microcosmic perspective of capital factor endowments and explores the effect of non-financial capitals on the citizenization ability to help solve the problem of the new generation of migrant workers. It aims to speed up the promotion of the new generation of migrant workers' citizenization and achieve the goal of building modern cities and sharing the true desire for a harmonious life. The dissertation mainly discusses three issues.First of all,it clearly defines the connotation and dimensions of the citizenization ability. With the methods of literature research and theoretical analysis,it elaborates the mechanism of the influence of non-financial capitals such as human capital, social capital, and rights capital on the citizenization ability under the framework of“Four Capitals" and enriches the theory of the citizenization ability.Secondly,a descriptive statistical method is used to dig deep into the circumstances of the new generation of migrant workers' citizenization ability in four dimensions including economic employment ability, social interaction ability, psychological integration ability, and rights behavior ability. This part reveals their cyclical dilemmas of lack of capitals and lack of abilities. Finally, the structural equation model is used to discuss the impacts of non-financial capitals on the new generation of migrant workers' citizenization ability.Regarding citizenization ability as an endogenous latent variable, rights capital as an intermediary variable, and human capital, integrated social capital, bridging social capital as exogenous latent variables, mutual demonstration of theoretical deduction and empirical results is achieved.Theoretical research shows that the human capital influences the citizenization ability through the growth of economic income, the improvement of community relations, the change of consciousness, and the protection of citizens ' rights. The social capital owns four functions:improving economic income, reconstructing social networks, assisting cultural and psychological integration, and protecting social status.Rights capital has both intermediary status and the three mechanisms of economic benefit guarantee, psychological demand satisfaction, and political participation enhancement which directly affect the citizenization ability. The empirical results show that non-financial capitals have positive effects on the citizenization ability.Among them, human capital has the most significant effect. It is equally important to improve the level of career skills and education background.Integrated social capital and bridging social capital both directly promote the citizenization ability. The existence of indirect effects makes the total effect of bridging social capital stronger. For the new generation of migrant workers, online social media is more conducive to the accumulation of social capital than traditional communication media. In addition, rights capital plays an important intermediary role, and human capital and bridging social capital can indirectly enhance the citizenization ability through rights capital. The innovation of this dissertation is reflected in the development of the theoretical study of the non-financial capitals' influencing mechanism on the citizenization ability under the framework of the "four capitals" and field survey data was used to support theoretical conjectures and make up for the lack of empirical support for the theory of citizenization. In addition, there are many literatures which use logistic method and prefer direct effects test.Based on theoretical supports and realistic cognition, this dissertation pays attention to the important status of rights capitals. It uses the structural equation model to analyze the impact path which helps to demonstrate the mediating effects of rights capital clearly and accurately and helps to guide policy formulation.
