Chinese Excellent Traditional Moral Narrative And Modern Transformation

Moral narration is a time-honored method of education and an important way for Chinese traditional moral education.Most of Chinese excellent traditional moral ideology lies in classic moral stories.It uses different literary and artistic works and customs as the carriers to exert the function of moral education imperceptibly.In the Chinese excellent traditional culture,we can explore the historical patterns of Chinese traditional moral narration and distinguish the education methods of traditional moral narratives.Inheriting national narrative thinking and narrative moral symbols is conducive to renewing Chinese moral narrative tradition,inheriting and carrying forward Chinese traditional virtues.We must adhere to the principle of combining inheritance and innovation to treat the traditional moral narration and organically combine excellent traditional ethics,classic virtue stories with the modern culture.Efforts will be made to realize the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese traditional virtues,and provide a cultural foundation and historical reference for the study of contemporary moral narratives and socialist moral construction.This article begins with a historical trace of the concept of narrative,analyzes the interrelationship between narrative and moral education,and studies the related concepts and characteristics of moral narrative,thereby eliciting Chinese traditional moral narrative.Secondly,this article discusses Chinese excellent traditional moral ideology and classic moral stories from three levels: individual,family and country.Traditional moral narration is generally based on Chinese excellent traditional literature and art.Therefore,from the perspective of moral narrative,this article selects six aspects of traditional culture: literature,painting,sculpture,opera,family instruction and folklore,and analyzes the ethics contained therein.The ethical ideology and narrative methods provide references for modern moral narrative and moral education.After analyzing and synthesizing the moral narrative data in traditional culture,the article concludes the methods and characteristics of traditional moral narrative.Finally,this article treat traditional moral narratives with a scientific attitude and modern reference and transformation of all elements of excellent traditional moral narratives to provide historical and cultural foundations and effective reference for contemporary narrative methods of moral education.
