The Ethical Considerations Of Chinese Philanthropy

As a non-profit social service undertaking,public philanthropy is of great importance to complement and improve social security system and alleviate social contradictions.With the rapid development of Chinese society,the philanthropy of our country has gradually gained wide attention and active participation from the public.But at the same time,there are many problems.Various kinds of charity misdeeds and charity scandals,which are contrary to the moral value of charity,challenging the bottom line of social morality and making people fall into doubts and misconceptions about Chinese charity.This paper begins with the concept of charity,philanthropic and charity ethics,and discusses the concept and significance of philanthropy and charitable ethics.This paper analyses the problems and shortcomings of present situation of philanthropy,separately from the concept of charity and public charity organization,the organization of specific charitable activities and the supervision and management system of our country.Through this analyses and discusses,the paper want to find out the reasons and causes behind the phenomenon,and tries to propose solutions based on ethics knowledge,and gives theoretically suggestions about how to better develop the modern charity ethics.
