Looking at the history and culture of the United States,we can find that although the Constitution of the United States stipulates that it is a secular country separated from the state and religion,in fact, the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the United States,Education and other national superstructures are deeply influenced by religious consciousness.Christianity,on the other hand,is considered to be the uncrowned "state religion" of the United States. It not only guides people morally and spiritually, but also affects people, such as wars and elections.During the long history, the influence of Christianity on the United States has also changed. From the early religious autocracy to the later freedom and tolerance,it has formed its distinct cultural characteristics.Liberalism originated from the Western Enlightenment and the bourgeois revolution, and has had a profound impact on the politics, economy and culture of western countries since its inception. At first, the United States was a British colony.Liberalism has also been deeply influenced by liberalism, which,in the course of its long-term development in the United States, has continuously absorbed different social values and formed the American liberalism with its own characteristics. The core of this thesis is American liberalism. The thesis hopes to understand American liberalism from a relatively new angle, that is,starting with Christianity, which has a wide and far-reaching impact on American society, with religion as the starting point. To study the special features of American liberalism, which is deeply influenced by Christian thought, and to deeply study its influence on American liberalism and liberal democracy on the basis of the analysis of Christian thought.Strive to understand American liberalism in essence.
