There are over two hundred countries separated by political borders.Among all the continental border areas, one third of them are of high ecological value and rich biodiversity.Every ecological system has unity,so it can't be divided by decomposing the elements and regions. However, these unified ecological systems are split by man-made political boundaries and are controlled in different political systems and ecological systems. Therefore the original unified ecological system might show different status on the different sides of the political boundaries.China-Burma border is such an area of great ecological value and rich biodiversity. With the increasingly significant contradiction between economic development and environmental protection, the destroy of the ecological environment and biodiversity in this area is also worsening. The following problem is how to effectively protect the ecological system and biodiversity in the border area. The southwestern China area connects with Vietnam,Laos and Myanmar respectively. At present,China has established trans-boundary protected areas at the border areas to jointly protect the ecology and biodiversity in the border area of the both sides.China-Burma border has higher ecological value and richer biodiversity, and the both side has established protected zone on the both sides of the border line.To restore the integrity of the ecosystem split by the political demarcation line at the China-Burma border and better protect the biodiversity of the border areas to achieve the sustainable development of human and nature, the international cooperation and coordination should be required and the trans-boundary protected area system based on the current protected areas should be established. This paper holds that it is necessary and feasible to establish trans-boundary protected areas in the China-Burma border region. To establish trans-boundary protected areas,we need to be guided by the principles of international environmental law, sign the cooperation contract on the China-Myanmar border protection areas, complete domestic regulations about the protected areas and improve the legal management institutions on the basis of legal support.Besides,we also need to make the trans-boundary protected area own a framework for domestic empowerment, establish a joint committee for China-Myanmar trans-boundary protected areas, improve the combined enforcement mechanisms, establish a platform for sharing information on trans-boundary protected areas, enhance the part of public participation in the legal system and establish the fund compensation mechanism.
