On The Limitation Of Refugee Organization In Refugee Protection

In recent years,the issue of refugees has become increasingly complicated in view of the fact that the tide of refugees has spread to many regions such as Europe,Africa and Latin America.It has exerted prolonged influence on the peace and development of countries and regions concerned,and even the world.The recurrent humanitarian crisis and war has drawn the attention of the international community.Many international organizations have participated actively in the refugee protection activities.Undoubtedly,international organizations play an essential role in the protection of refugees,however,there are many problems involved in the practice.This thesis attempts to analyze the limitations in the refugee protection conducted by international organizations,using the UNHCR as an example of a representative international organization for refugee assistance.The research is primarily based on the historical framework,and supplemented by the theoretical analysis,and literature research and case analysis are also employed.Although the international organization UNHCR has an absolute advantage in the protection of refugees and contributed extraordinarily in this effort,there are still many problems,such as the inadequacy of funds,the limited power and the bureaucratic malpractice inside the organization.To solve these problems,it is necessary to reform the UNHCR and to strengthen the primary role of the United Nations in the protection of refugees so that intergovernmental organizations,non-governmental organizations and the countries concerned can work together to break through the limitations of international organizations in the protection of refugees so that the problem of refugees can be effectively solved in the long run.This article is divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of the research,the status of international organizations and refugees,and the research methods and innovations.The second part is the main part of this article,including the first to the four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the definition of the concept of refugees by the international society and the connection of the concept of the refugees.The origin of the UNHCR;the second chapter mainly introduces the main methods adopted by the UNHCR in dealing with the refugee problem;the third chapter analyzes the UNHCR's protection of refugees through the study of the UNHCR's protection in Afghanistan and Somali refugees and the rescue of the Rohingya people in order to reveal the advantages and limitations of the practice involved.The fourth chapter analyzes the causes of its limitations and puts forward relevant measures to cope with the problems.The third part is the concluding part,the UNHCR occupies an absolute advantage in the protection of refugees,however,it needs to be reformed in regard of its limitations,and the effective solution of the refugee problems needs the coordination and cooperation on the part of both sovereign states and the international organizations.To conclude,analyzing and studying the deficiencies of international organizations in the refugee protection and seeking effective and long-term solutions to refugee problems are not only humanitarian requirements but also the demand for maintaining world peace and stability.
