The career development for the young prison police refers to the whole process under the prison system of our country,during which,the prison,during the entire career of the young prison police,conducts initial ideological education,professional training,mid-term performance appraisal,motivation,and in a later period,training,promotion and other aspects,to help them achieve their career development goals.At the same time,the career development of the young prison police is an important embodiment of the optimal allocation and effective integration of human resources management in the national public sector,which is of great significance to the construction of modern prisons of our nation.Based on the career development stage,this article carries on the analysis research about the career development for the young police of the S Prison,basing on the career choice theory,the career interest theory and the career development theory,expounds the phenomena,summarizes the problems,analyzes the reasons,and then explores the countermeasures.As a national gold medal prison,the S Prison has been in the national lead,holding many of the best national records in the prison work,bringing to the young prison police a great sense of honor and belonging.At the present stage,the S Prison has had a good effect on the career development for the young prison police.However,there are still some problems as bellow.The initial training ignores the differences between the police recruited from the society and from the police academy,and doesn't consider the overall factors about the practice training bases.The classification of the practice training is crude and single,and the practice training activities can not play a practical role in the job allocation.The rotation training are not voluntary activities,and the post is arranged by the prison.There are many punishment provisions,but insufficient incentives and social campaign.The channel for the rank promotion is narrow and there isn't other career development channels for the young police.All the above problems,for some of the young police of the S Prison,have led to a lack of sense of career identity,a lack ofjob matching,an insufficient reflection about the working ability,a lack of optimism about the career prospects,and even to the abandonment of the opportunities to work in the prison.In order to further improve the career development mechanism for the young police of the S Prison,the following countermeasures are explored: Improve the corresponding training mechanism for the young prison police recruited from the society and from the police academy.Classify clearly the direction of the career development,and organize targeted training and combined rotation training according to their categories.Encourage the voluntary registration of young police officers,the departmental recommendations and the two-way choice of posts.Improve the incentive mechanism and right protection.Besides job promotion,make the young police gain a sense of accomplishment and honor in other areas of the prison work.So that the young prison police maximum their advantage and burst their potential,thus the career development for the young police of the S Prison is optimized,and their self-worth is better realized.
