A Study On Improving The Theoretical Confidence Of Ideological And Political Education

As pointed out in the report of the 19 th National Congress of CPC,the whole party should enhance road confidence,theoretical confidence,institutional self-confidence and cultural confidence more consciously.Theoretical confidence is the strong spiritual guarantee of the party's vitality,so as an important part of the party's theories,ideological and political education shall strengthen its theoretical confidence.The improvement of discipline confidence is beneficial to clarify the discipline's development goal,improve the sense of identity and belonging,and it is also the inner requirement for the development of the discipline itself.After years of development,complete major setup and discipline system have been built in the discipline of ideological and political education.However,some obstacles still exist in the development of the discipline,mainly including the co-existence of “collegial” and“generalization” in theoretical research,the challenge of the discipline's scientificity and excessive relying on other disciplines,which happen because some members in the discipline community are “lack of confidence” or “overconfident”.The former may cause the phenomenon of simply absorbing other discipline's theories without discrimination,causing the discipline to be lack of independence and characteristics;while the latter may narrow the discipline's view of research,homogenize the thinking mode,and make it hard for the discipline to absorb the benefits of other disciplines in interdisciplinary exchange,thus reducing the speed and scope of discipline development.Therefore,it is imperative that we strengthen the theoretical confidence of the discipline of ideological and political education,which should be initiated by awakening the discipline's“self-awareness”,promoting its “self-renewal” and forming its “self-assertion”.“Self-awareness”refers to elucidate the achievements achieved,form firm confidence for discipline development,cultivate the members theoretical consciousness and stimulate the discipline's vigorous creation;“self-renewal” refers to that the discipline research should take root in reality to gradually get rid of apprenticeship and achieve the renewal of discipline development mode;“self-assertion”refers to speak out the discipline's own “voice” on the basis of absorbing cultural nourishment to actively show the discipline's characteristics.Only when theoretical confidence is cultivated can various undesirable tendencies be avoided,and objective and impartial evaluation be made to the discipline's properties and development.What's more,the discipline's development direction and its openness and tolerance toward other discipline can also be firmed.
