Research Report On The System Of Commutation And Parole In Z Prison In China

Commutation and parole are two important penalty execution systems in China now,which reflects criminal policy of combining punishment with leniency.Based on conclusions on theory,our policy is taking commutation as the main and parole as the subsidiary.After many years of implementation,two systems play an important role in transformation of criminal incentives and turning over a new leaf and realize punishing crimes and prevention of crime.New judicial interpretation issued in recent years and Amendment to Criminal Law have made major revision and improvement.Meanwhile,all kinds of practical problems and more strict requirements on prison work have been raised.This paper takes specific commutation and parole from 2013 to2017 as survey subjects,analyzes operation,common problems and reasons of commutation and parole in the jail Z,and finally offers some comments and suggestions.
