United States presidential election is called as "social media election" in 2016,this is a big media event.The current media landscape is remodeling and it is reflected by the communication field that is refracted by the democratic election – it's focus on political capital.The two sides are competing fiercely,not only to consolidate the support of their voters,but also to attack each other to win more votes for themselves.The social media serves as a platform for candidates to appeal people to vote them.This article is focus why Donald Trump could win the election,and why the traditional media had poor performance in the election,the article observed and analyzed the election in 2016.Based on political communication model by political professor David Easton,and make a new model with social media.The article wish to combine with the society background in current American to explain the role of social media and how does traditional media was failed in this event by the media factors,it would be explained by the way of three communication subject using social media.The article not summarized features about the content producing by media and the way of using medium,also try to find the essence of questions and the same type problems.Rethinking the negative effect brought by the development of social media and completing the theories.Providing a theoretical support for our traditional media and new media represented by social media unified development and the strategy of use of in industry practice.
