This paper expounds the concept,nature and legal regulation of national student loans for college students,and points out the policy nature of the national student loans for college students.By combing the existing legislation and policies of the national student loan system in China,the existing problems are pointed out from the lack of legislation,the single type of student loan,the imbalance of the main rights and obligations,the imperfect evaluation system of the student loan,the higher default rate of college students and the lack of supervision system.On the basis of the successful experience of the national student loan system of the Japanese college students,combining the reality of the national student loan system of our college students,it is proposed from the aspects of expanding the type of the national student loan,balancing the rights and obligations among the various subjects,perfecting the evaluation system of the student loans for college students,the social credit system and the supervision system.Perfect suggestions.
