In the 95 th Anniversary of the Founding of Communist Party of China(CPC),General Secretary Xi Jinping first put forward an important principle,i.e.“Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”.Since its founding,CPC has kept its original aspiration in mind and has strived to lead the country and her people to realize the great transformation from independence,well-being to being strong.In the present day of all-round deepening reform and new era of the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics,CPC insists on its original aspiration to offer strong spiritual dynamics and endless strength to the great rejuvenation of Chinese people and the realization of ambition of CPC.To insist on the original aspiration,we are required to look back on the original aspiration,thoroughly understand its social background and though origin and organize the process of forming to help us deeply grasp the connotation and features of CPC’s original aspiration and build a right view of original aspiration.In light of the social background of forming CPC’s original aspiration,it was formed during the reign of the Northern Warlords,when the period witnessed the failure of the Revolution of 1911,the conflicts among warlords and the cruel exploitation and oppression of imperialism.China and Chinese people suffered from unprecedented hardship and difficulties.Under the impact of the October Revolution of Russia(1917),some Chinese has begun to establish great ambition of Communism with the abstract term “nationalities” replaced by “civilians”.Since then,people have found the right target and direction of nation rejuvenation and people’s well-being.A fundamental change in position has been realized.During the May 4th Movement(1919),advanced intellectuals in China had strong enthusiasm about patriotism,while early Communists truly felt the power of ordinary mass to realize ambition and faith.In the aspect of thought origin,the Marxism view of people,Marxism theories and the theory of national rejuvenation are all unified under a general principle to constitute CPC’s theoretical foundationof original aspiration together.It is also rooted in China’s excellent traditional culture while absorbing and learning excellent thoughts and culture from the west.The formation and perfection of the “original aspiration” of CPC have experienced a series of hard exploration.Before the first CPC National Congress,the early founders of CPC have explored the Party’s position,aim,ambition and faith.In November 1920,the establishment of “Declaration of the Communist Party of China” marks the primary formation of CPC’s original aspiration.In July1921,the first CPC National Congress was opened,and important files were passed,including “The First Guiding Principle of Communist Party of China”“The First Decision of Communist Party of China”,which mark the formal formation of the original aspiration of CPC.The 2nd National Congress of CPC made guiding principle of the party’s democratic revolution to seek the right path to practice the original aspiration.Since then,to make basic guiding principle based on different situations for all periods and to put concreteness to the original aspiration is an important way for CPC to practice the original aspiration.In the period of War of Resistance Against Japan’s Invasion(1937-1945),faced with complex national and social class conflicts,CPC correctly dealt with their relation.It eased tension between original national aim and people’s aim,and clearly put forward that CPC is the pioneer of Chinese people and China.This marks the mature nature of its original aspiration.In the 19 th National Congress of CPC,the concept of “original aspiration” was defined by the authorities for the first time.From the formation of the original aspiration of CPC,we can see that the“original aspiration” is an organic merger of succeeding and development,dialectical unity of long term and periodicity,highly unity of people and nationality and organic unity of purpose and methods.Moreover,the formation of the “original aspiration” inspires us that we should insist on the leading position of Marxism,as well as the development view of “keep Marxism in mind,root in China and understand both China and other countries”.We should understand the connotation and features of the “original aspiration” and keep it mind,as well as realizing the great ambition of Communism and striving for the great rejuvenation of China.
