The Present Situation And Pattern Of Parent-Child Volunteer Service

After setting out the aims of “To become a model city of national ‘volunteer city' in 2020”,Shenzhen city have progressed towards a much more scientific management to volunteer service activities,and many innovation forms of volunteer service springing up in this city,and parents-child volunteer service is one of the most energetic of them.However,parents-child volunteer service with an extensive audience,there is few study about them here in China.Therefore,to take Shenzhen whose aim to be a “Volunteer City” as a study sample,to analysis the present conditions and development of parents-child volunteer service,has great meanings to help the parents-child volunteer service develop and growth in China.In this paper,the method of qualitative analysis was taken,and it will analyzes their participation situation stand in three aspects: Family,School and Community,then to show the present conditions and identify the concept of parents-child volunteer service in Shenzhen.This article will summarize three forms of cooperation pattern : “Family&School”,“Family&Community”,“School&Community”.And on that basis,it will put forwards proposals and countermeasures in view of the existing problems and deficiencies,and examining the forms of “Family-School-Community” more closely,and render my trifling service to the multiplex development of the volunteer service undertaking of Shenzhen.Full-text is divided into five chapters as below:The first chapter is the Introduction.The research background,purpose and significance of this study are discussed in detail,also both the research status of domestic and foreign and level and research methods.The second chapter is the present development of parents-child volunteer service in Shenzhen.The research mainly focuses on the three factors,the content,the models and the aims of this item,then sum up a concept which will have the own characteristics of Shenzhen.Then details of the “volunteerability”(willingness,capability and availability)and “recruitability”(accessibility,resources and cooperation)will be introduced,and summing up three existing cooperation model of parents-child volunteer service,which are Model I “Family&School”;Model II “Family&Community”;Model III “School&Community”.The third chapter is the countermeasures in view of the potential problems of parents-child volunteer service in Shenzhen.Firstly,potential problems will be discussed from three aspects: Family,School and Community;Secondly,countermeasures for highlighting issues will be listed,including strengthening “volunteerability” and “recruitability” which improve and implement of the system of training to parents-child volunteers,innovation of incentives,laying emphasis on right protection,strengthen the ability of organization,publicity and advocacy and pay attention to the innovative management methods of volunteer service platforms.The fourth chapter is a brief discussion on advantages and feasibility,difficulties of cooperation model that Family-School-Community take part in the volunteer service together,and exam this model more closely.What`s more,to discuss the “FamilySchool-Community” form of parents-child volunteer service in Shenzhen.The fifth chapter is the summary,will simply discuss the limitations and further research directions of this study.
