International investment is an important support to the economic development of one country.While countries gain economic benefits in international investment,they have to pay attention to the negative effects that are brought about by investment activities to the environment.Hence,how to balance the interest relationship between the host state and investors becomes one of the difficult issues which need to be resolved in the investment agreement.This essay discusses the following parts:introduction,body and conclusion.In the introduction,the writing purpose is explained.And,it is also explained that the necessity and the urgency of the protection of environment.The first part of this paper is that with liberalization of international investment and globalization of environmental protection awareness as a background.The second part of this paper is to comment the provisions of international agreements from the content.The third part focus on our country's current international investment in the present status of environment protection and on problems,and proposes the corresponding improvement suggestions.Epilogue part aimed to make a simple summary of the article and stress the situation that China is coming with.
