Since the beginning of the new century,India has continuously adjusted its policy towards central Asia, and successively introduced the policy of "Expanding neighbor" and "Connecting Central Asia".These policies are part of plans to achieve India's great-power ambitions.Compared with policies in the 1990 s,the Central Asia policies of the governments of Vajpayee and Singh were fruitful, but with the influence of internal and external factors, compared with other regional players,India's influence in Central Asia is limited. After Modi came to power, the government inherited and developed the policy of "Connecting Central Asia",he also make new developments with Central Asia policy, the Central Asia into the scope of its powers strategic. This is Modi government's measure to extend India's diplomatic strategy, highlighting India's influence in the india-pacific region, and to show India's power strategy in the Modi period.India's great power strategy is the main line of the India's Central Asia policy and is the leading factor in India's Central Asia policy.Another dominant factor in India's Central Asia policy is geography, where geographical disconnectedness becomes the primary obstacle to India's Central Asia policy. So while the Modi government increased the input in Central Asia and success to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO),but in the case of geographical limit has not been solved, the restrictive factors of India's Central Asia remains "entrenched",it means that India still can't be an important force to participate in “the great game of Central Asia” on the era of Modi government. On the one hand,in the future, the implementation of India's Central Asia policy need to strengthen cooperation with other regional partners and India's existence,on the other hand,India try to achieve connectivity with regional countries through regional cooperation.
