In the family perspective, the behavior of the elderly self-retirement and reemployment behavior is not separate,in addition to the impact of individual characteristics, many factors such as spouse characteristics, children's structure and family intergenerational support are also affected. Therefore, this paper constructs the binary Probit model using CHARLS2011 and 2013 data and basing on STATA14 statistical analysis software to study the influence of spouse characteristics, children's structure and intergenerational support behavior on the reemployment of the elderly in retirement age.The influence of spouse characteristics and the structure of children on the reemployment of urban retired people was investigated. The empirical results show that both husband and wife employment status tends to be synchronized, the two sides are more inclined to work together or retirement that "joint labor force decision-making behavior".The mutual restraint and incentive factors that exist between husband and wife cannot be ignored. The increase in the number of children significantly increases the likelihood of reemployment for retired urban elderly. The greater the proportion of the son,the greater the probability of re-employment of older parents. The influence of the number of children on the reemployment choices of older parents varies with the gender, marital status, and the situation of the parents living together.Based on the perspective of intergenerational support, this paper discusses the mechanism of the children's structure in the reemployment of retired old people. The study found that the children's structure plays a role in the intermediate variable--"the way and intensity of intergenerational support",which influences the re-employment of the retired elderly:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between the total number of children and the behavior and amount of economic support. And the increase in the number of sons will strengthen the effect.(2)the increase in the total number of children will significantly reduce the possibility of older parents to take care of grandchildren, and the increase in the number of daughters will weaken the effect relative to the son.(3)Older parents' economic support for their children significantly increases their likelihood of reemployment;and time support reduces their employment rates. In addition, the reemployment choice of the elderly is positively correlated with the economic support provided by the children, and it is negatively correlated with the specific amount. The downward intergenerational transfer of the family will significantly increase the employment rate of older parents.Based on the above results, this paper argues that starting from the younger generation and children, alleviating the economic pressure of young people, improving the socialization of children's trusteeship and children's education service system,is of great significance for improving the quality of life of the elderly and enhancing the autonomy of their labor participation.
