The Influence Of The Phenomenon Of "reverse Feeding" In Chinese Families On The Intergenerational Support Of The Elderly

The feedback mode of "foster-support" embodies filial piety in traditional Chinese concepts.Offspring repay parental generation for bringing their up when they get old.However,with the development of social modernization,production,employment,emotional support,education,care for the elderly of the original family function,began to dissolve.Parents help their children through various ways,and establish good emotional relationship with their children,so as to increase current and future support from offspring."Reverse feeding" is increasing,which is not only out of "licking the calf",but also a strategic response.This paper studies the influence of Chinese family's "back feeding" on the elderly's intergenerational support,and uses the binary logistic regression model to explore the influence of the phenomenon of "back feeding" on the elderly's intergenerational support.It is found that the emotional and moral support of parents to their children has the greatest impact on the intergenerational support;compared with cities,in rural areas,the economic support,gender,self-reported health and daily behavior ability of parents to their children all have an effect on the intergenerational support;in addition,the higher the education level of parents,the smaller the possibility of intergenerational support.Combined with the research results of this paper,it is suggested that the elderly can improve the intergenerational support from the perspective of emotional support,and the government and society should improve the legal security and expand welfare coverage to provide support for the elderly.
