Under the background of rapid economic development, the large-scale transfer of rural labor force and the migration of migrant workers led to the high number of left-behind children. This kind of child's development question also receives more and more attention.Peer communication is a necessary way for children to socialize.Left-behind children in rural areas lack the necessary guidance in peer communication, which makes their peer communication ability insufficient, which is not conducive to the development of children's mental health.Peer communication is the cornerstone of children's social development and has a significant main effect on the development of children's psychological theory.Positive peer interaction is beneficial to the development of children's self-concept and personality, and to the promotion of children's mental health. This study explores the application of group work in the process of improving the peer communication ability of left-behind children by carrying out the peer communication ability improvement group of "running together in the sun" in the children's service station of T village in L city.It has been proved that the use of group work combined with psychological methods can make the mechanism of group function play a long-term role, greatly improve the ability of peer communication, and finally achieve the development of psychological theory. At first, the professional service of social work can effectively improve the communication dilemma faced by left-behind children,so that the rural left-behind children receiving services can get a developmental change.Secondly,in the process of improving the peer communication ability of left-behind children,we should not only set up the group process reasonably and give full play to the function of the group, but also need to use effective,The social training model supported by the theory of psychological development makes the members of the group perfect their cognition in the process of interaction so as to improve their communicative ability. Finally, the freedom and anonymity of the network attract the children who are cold and ignored in the reality to a great extent, which makes it become more likely to form unhealthy communication psychology. Therefore, under the premise of emphasizing the development of children's own ability, the negative influence of developed network on the interpersonal communication of left-behind children can not be ignored,It is necessary to help children restore their interest in face-to-face communication and avoid the pseudo-socialization of left-behind children caused by the dilution of interpersonal relationships.
