Vietnamese Youth Internet Addiction

Internet Addiction is a new phenomenon in the information age.The online behavior of impulsive substances is impulsive or out of control.It is manifested that the physical,psychological and social functions of individuals are impaired due to excessive use of the Internet.Internet addiction is one of the maj or problems in the development of adolescents.In recent years,it has attracted extensive attention from researchers in the psychology and medical fields,and has also achieved many research results.However,the localization research on Internet addiction in Vietnamese youth is still in its infancy.Due to different social and cultural backgrounds,the research results and conclusions of the Internet addiction status,causes,influencing factors and internal mechanisms of adolescents in China and the United States may not be fully applicable to Vietnamese teenagers,there is still a lack of large-scale research and analysis based on represent activeness in Vietnam.Internet addiction it had caused serious consequences in addicts 'lives,especially the youth.However,there are few academic reports on this topics.The study aimed to determine the internet addiction rate of adolescents and describe some characteristics of internet addiction students using cross-sectional analysis design with self-administered questionnaires.Sampling samples were taken with sample size of 357 students in secondary and upper secondary schools in Quang Binh.Results showed that teenagers' internet addiction was 10.3%.As crime increases,Internet addiction can affect individuals such as depression,nervous system diseases,and society as a whole.In an early study on adolescent Internet addiction,I conducted a study on "Vietnamese Youth Internet Addiction Study"--based on a questionnaire survey in Quang Binh Province,which aims to describe the situation and identify addiction to teens.The research results are mainly reflected in the following aspects:Young people themselves,family,school,social factors can cause internet addiction;Family,school and social support is important to reduce internet addiction.There fore,the involvement of social work should be considered in prevention and intervention.
