In today's society,with the rapid development of the technology,the Internet has played an indispensable part of people's lives.The “43rd Statistical Report on Internet Development in China” released by China Internet Network Information Center(CNNIC)in Beijing shows that as of December 2018,the number of Chinese Internet users reached 829 million,with a penetration rate of 59.6%.While the Internet provides us with information channels,communication,life and entertainment,it also brings us many hazards,such as cyber fraud,online gambling,cyber violence,online pornography and internet addiction.Among these negative effects,the most attention is the Internet addiction.Domestic and international research on the factors affecting to Internet addiction mainly include external factors and internal factors.Among the internal factors,most scholars examined the effects of self,personality,emotion and behavior on Internet addiction,but few studies have focused on the impact of nature connectedness on Internet addiction.It has been found that nature connectedness has an impact on the individual's mental health,and Internet addiction is a typical mental health problem in the digital age;its influencing factors and mechanism of action are also similar to traditional mental health problems,so the study of relationship between nature connectedness and Internet addiction has a certain meaning.In addition,this study will take high school students in the critical period of youth as subjects,explore the influencing factors and mechanism of nature connectedness on Internet addiction,which is not only for high school students,Internet addiction prevention and Intervention provides a new perspective and is an extension of research in the field of Internet addiction.Based on the theory of biophilia hypothesis and pathological Internet use cognitive behavioral model,this study investigates the mediating role of anxiety in the impact of nature connectedness on Internet addiction,and further examines whether mediation is regulated by self-control.Taking 536 students from two high schools in Xinyang City as subjects,the questionnaires were surveyed using the Natural Connection Scale,Anxiety Scale,Self-Control Scale and Internet Addiction Scale.The results showed that:(1)Nature connectedness and anxiety,network formation Addiction was significantly negatively correlated,and positively correlated with self-control;anxiety and self-control were significantly negatively correlated,and positively correlated with internet addiction;self-control was significantly negatively correlated with internet addiction.(2)Anxiety plays a mediating role between nature connectedness and internet addiction.(3)The second half of the intermediate path of “nature connectedness ? anxiety ? internet addiction” is regulated by self-control;the effect of anxiety on Internet addiction of low self-controlled high school students compared with high self-controlled high school students Bigger.Self-control can effectively alleviate the impact of anxiety on Internet addiction.
