In the Han Dynasty, there were a large number of relative marriages in the ruling class. It involves the emperor's concubines, princes with the same name, princesses and bureaucratic clans, among other groups. There are both consanguineous marriages and general interfamilial multiple marriages. In addition, the Han Dynasty from the meaning of the He-qin,can also be classified into the pro-marriage category. The relative marriage in the Han Dynasty was highly political, but different from the intergenerational marriage between aristocrats in the pre-Qin period, the relative marriage in the Han Dynasty had some economy, which showed the pursuit of wealth. In the Han Dynasty, there were also hierarchical characteristics in the relative marriage, which gradually strengthened. In terms of the conclusion of marriage, there was no clear marriage system in the western Han Dynasty. In the eastern Han Dynasty,a relatively standard system for selecting royal concubines had been established. The range of marriage objects became very narrow, and they were often only selected from several old family names, which naturally led to the relative marriage. This trend is evident in royal marriages. In Han Dynasty, there were a large number of consanguineous marriages, and the marriage ethics were very confused. In addition to the influence of political factors and primitive customs, the main reason is that people's understanding level in the Han Dynasty is not up to the modern cognition of the consanguineous marriage. As a kind of political marriage, relative marriage played an important role in the Han Dynasty and had a far-reaching influence. The supreme ruler through marriage to the bureaucratic group to win over the formation of the consort power to consolidate the imperial power of the important power. The intergenerational marriage between the bureaucratic aristocracy helped them to realize their long-term possession of power and promoted the process of their descent. The Han Dynasty 's reconciliation not only helped the Han Dynasty gain strategic initiative, but also had an important influence on the formation of the multi-ethnic state. On the other hand, relative marriage is highly political and utilitarian, focusing on family interests and political interests while ignoring personal will, resulting in many marriage tragedies. The large number of consanguineous marriages in the royal marriage also led to the scarcity of many emperors' children in the Han Dynasty, which affected the succession of the royal family. In politics, the relative marriage of the royal family and the clan resulted in the vicious expansion of the clan power, which led to the monopoly of the clan power and threatened the imperial rule itself. The extensive political marriage among bureaucrats creates the tendency of officials to form a clique.In-laws protect each other's families and break the political order. At the local level, the marriage between the powerful and the powerful colluded with each other to control the grassroots social power, which also threatened the centralized rule.In view of this, the imperial court used a series of means to prevent and combat the consort power and marriage, and achieved results in a certain period. However,it is impossible to get rid of the inherent defect of political subjugation under the autocratic system.Failure is inevitable.
