The Construction Of Danwei's Courtyard And Collective Identity

The Danwei system widely established in the national cities in the late 1940s and early 1950s,which is considered to be the largest "space reorganization" in China's history.Through the overall deployment of the country,people from different regions and different identities are reunited,and a "Danwei community" that closely integrates production and life has been established.The Danwei compound,which is an important part of it,carries almost all the richness of daily life in the life course of Danwei members.In the relatively closed Danwei space,people's public activities,neighborhood interactions,welfare enjoyment,and the creation of life concepts are all carried out in the Danwei compound,which has formed a unique sense of belonging and identity of the members of the compound.The author refers to the identity and dependence of the Danwei on the compound as "the identity of the compound".Through the deep excavation of a large state-owned factory in Luoyang City,this paper explores the formation and construction process of"committee identity".It is true that"committee identity"is not a solid emotional state,but a dynamic process that is constantly adjusted and reborn with different periods.In the early stage of the establishment of the Danwei system,the collectivism of the state and the Danwei and the high-frequency daily interaction made the scene of a harmonious scene of caring and friendship.During the Cultural Revolution,it was affected by the class struggle"and the conflict of factory factions."Politics"gradually intervened in people's daily life.The inertia of life in the early friendly atmosphere and the internal conflicts induced by the opposition of "political opinion" were intertwined.The compound was controversially integrated in conflict and mutual assistance.After the Cultural Revolution,The negation and reflection of the Cultural Revolution and the adjustment and restoration of Danwei production have gradually brought back the order of the courtyards,but the flood of reform and opening up has begun to infiltrate into the walls of the courtyard,consuming the superior sense of unity of the residents of the compound;With the deepening of reform and opening up and the full-scale development of enterprise restructuring,the Danwei system gradually disintegrated,and the associated Danwei compound began to disintegrate.The establishment of housing commercialization and community system made the"community community"come to an end.In the life of the modern community,the members of the compound have moved from the "acquaintance society" of the compound nesting,frequent interaction,and conceptual culture to the community "stranger society" with more residents and more social privacy.This shows a strong sense of acclimatization and uncomfortable life.Based on the grasp of the dynamic and holistic nature of the Danwei members'"committee identity",this paper attempts to make an exploratory analysis of the composition of"committee identity".The author believes that"committee identity"is not a purely life-style identity,but includes the identity of the members of the compound in the production of the state system and the community identity generated by the multi-person interaction of the Danwei members.Nested identity under the combined effect of identity based on identity conscious.The construction of this identity is also a process and logic that occurs by the mutual action of many factors.It is not a one-way collective shaping product,but the result of two-way mutual structure:it contains both top-down organizations of countries and organizations.Institutional creation,cultural infiltration,and relationship reproduction under closed space;also includes the ontological needs of Danwei members to establish self-identity and seek collective sense of belonging,and the reshaping and strengthening of identity by the original"Danwei person"in collective memory..Finally,although there are obvious structural drawbacks in the Danwei compound,we must not deny the significance of the building's sense of belonging and identity in people's lives.Especially in the construction of modern communities,we need to re-examine the reference role of the Danwei's predecessor,the predecessor of the community history.In the construction of "common identity",the shaping of public space and culture,and the establishment of community care system,the Danwei compound still has many reference significance.
