Danwei Community:An Analysis Of Identity Theory

The article focuses on the creation,consolidation and declination of Danwei residents' identification by describing the changing process of Danwei community——Changtie Xiangshao Community in Changsha.The study wants to explore the identification based on social structure and its changes in modernization and urbanization.The author has recorded the communication and interaction by interview and observation to describe the Danwei system and identification of Danwei people with individual angles.The identification of Danwei residents in Changtie Xiangshao Community comes from the spiritual public activities and substantial resources and services.When Danwei system is declining,Danwei residents still keep others outside,but also with the declination of identification.Meanwhile,the outsiders have set up their own group.Whether the Danwei community or the outsiders' group,it's a mimesis or imitation of Country Society.Everyone in the community has tried keeping the pace with modernization.So the study wants to concentrate on the individuals in the changing time and provide a possible road for traditional systems to adjust themselves in the modern society.
