Iran and Pakistan are key countries along the“One Belt&One Road”initiative in China.The development of bilateral relations affect the quality of economic corridor construction.This paper mainly analyzes the factors affecting the Iran-Pakistan relationship from the perspective of geopolitics,especially the development of the Iran-Pakistan relationship after the September 11th incident.First of all,in the first part,a historical review of the Iran-Pakistan relations was carried out.Based on the analysis of the geopolitical environment of the two countries and the geographical connections between the two countries,the relationship between the regional and international powers was discussed.Impact,as well as trends in the development of Iran relations and their impact on China.After studying the development characteristics of the Iran-Pakistan relationship during this period,we can find that the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979,the September 11th incident as a turning point,experienced a period of closeness,indifference,confrontation and cooperation.The two countries have maintained a cooperative and friendly situation as a whole.The relations between the two countries have been affected by the regional countries Afghanistan,Saudi Arabia and India.They are mainly influenced by China and the United States internationally.Among the regional and national factors of the Iran-Pakistan relationship,the most influential is Afghanistan.From a geographical perspective,Afghanistan's territory is deeply rooted in the two countries.Afghanistan has close ties with Iran and Pakistan in terms of ethnicity,religion and culture.The development of the situation in Afghanistan affects the stability of Iran and Pakistan.Saudi Arabia and Pakistan maintain close relations,but since the end of the Cold War,Saudi Arabia and Iran have long competed for dominance in the Middle East.The struggle between the Sunni and Shiite camps has made Pakistan face the difficult situation of the election.On the other hand,Pakistan has been confronting India in South Asia.India has actively developed relations with Iran and Afghanistan in order to break through from the periphery.In order to restrict the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia,Iran also intends to further develop relations with India,thus forming many subtle"games" or checks and balances in the Iran-Pakistan relationship.Among the major power factors in the Iran-Pakistan relationship,the United States has a long history of influence.In recent years,China has had an impact on the relations between Iran and Pakistan,and this trend will further expand in the future.The influence of the United States on the relations between Iran and Pakistan is mainly based on the Islamic Revolution in Iran.The United States was a factor in promoting the development of Iran-Pakistan relations,and then it was a factor hindering the development of Iran-Pakistan relations.Through the SCO and the“Belt and Road Initiative”,China has actively incorporated both countries into a framework to promote consensus on regional development and stability.Through the implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,China has become a relationship to promote An important factor for positive development.The future Iran-Pakistan relations will continue to be affected by the above factors.A well-integrated Iraq-Pakistan relationship will promote the economic development and stability of the two countries,it is also conducive to the implementation of the“Belt and Road”initiative.The long-term stability of the Iran-Pakistan relationship requires universal consensus and cooperation at the regional level.
