Western Marxist Feminism And Its Enlightenment To Chinese Female Development

The solution of female problems is not only about human nature,but also about the survival,development and liberation of human beings and other major philosophical issues.Therefore,only by promoting the solution of this problem,can we constantly promote the development of society.While expounding Marx and Engels' thought on female liberation,this paper systematically sorts out the development of western Marxist feminism.Western Marxist feminism generally has experienced three stages: the first stage is from the 1960 s to the early 1970 s,which is known as Marxist feminism,mainly inherits Marxist theory of female liberation,focuses on criticizing the capitalist system and analyzes the concepts of production,economic structure and class conflict;The next stage is from the 1970 s to the late1980 s,which is called socialist feminism,mainly refutes the patriarchy and the power system it brought;The last stage has lasted till now since the 1990 s,which is called post-Marxist feminism.It combines Marxism with post-modern feminism,pays attention to the criticism of ideology and culture,and forms the materialist feminist theory with post-modern characteristics.The article appraises the significance and historical limitation of the western Marxist feminist thought appropriately.On the basis of combing the development of western Marxism feminism,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between western Marxism feminism and female liberation in Chinese context.In comparative analysis,the author draws lessons from and absorbs the merits of western Marxism feminism,and analyzes the ways suitable for Chinese female liberation and development in combination with Chinese national conditions.This paper analyzes some problems existing in social and family life of Chinese women,and puts forward some practical ways to solve the problems and promote the healthy development of women.Specific include: to promote the height development of productivity;to build an advanced and harmonious gender culture;to further promote the gender division of labor equality;to establish and improve the system ofpolicies,laws and regulations to promote female development;to strength female subject consciousness,enhance the female own quality and ability and so on.
