Marx's The Insider of Diplomatic History in the Eighteenth Century reveals the fact that the London Cabinet and the Petersburg Cabinet have been cooperating secretly with each other.Combining with the international situation at that time,the author analyses the root and essence of British diplomat's "pro-Russian" diplomacy lies in the despicable diplomatic skills of Russia and British's hypocrisy,and it also further analysed the disadvantages of British representative democracy.The article also inquire into the doubts about the joint defense treaty signed by Britain and Sweden in 1700 and traces back to the history of Russian political thought,reveals and analyses the political ambition of Peter the Great,which is to inherit the ancient eclipse method of the Ivan era and Mongolian ambition to conquer the world.Finally,it discusses the concept of "Eccentricity Center" and the importance of maritime hegemony.Through historical supplements and textual interpretation,this paper tries to rediscover its ideological value,show Marx's ruthless criticism of Tsarist autocratic diplomacy under Russian feudal serfdom,and fully expose the essence of diplomacy between capitalist countries.This paper attempts to summarize Marx's thinking on diplomatic means,decision-making and national strategy,at the same time explore its Enlightenment on our current national strategy and foreign affairs.
