Chen Duxiu's Exploration And Practice On The Early Spread Of Marxism

The spread of Marxism in China has realized the combination of Marxism and Chinese revolution,and initially formed the Sinicization of Marxism.By discussing Chen Duxiu's process of understanding Marxism,his exposition of Marxist theory and his exploration and practice of early dissemination,this paper points out that Chen Duxiu is an active disseminator of early Marxist theory and the main founder of the Communist Party of China.He made great efforts to explore the correct way of development of Chinese revolutionary cause,and tried to combine Marxist theory with China's specific reality,thus making an important contribution to the early spread of Marxism.Chen Duxiu's understanding of Marxism was formed under a special historical background.From talent selection to revolutionary party members to radical democrats,through advocating democracy and science,to turning to Russia as a teacher,he eventually became a Marxist,which experienced a complex process.In the analysis of Chen Duxiu's exploration of the early spread of Marxism,it is affirmed that Chen Duxiu has an indispensable and important position in the early propaganda of Marxism and the elaboration of Marxist theory.Chen Duxiu elaborated Marxist historical materialism,surplus value theory and scientific socialism in depth and shallowly by establishing newspapers and magazines,translating books and giving speeches,so as to make it easier for the public to accept and understand Marxism,which is his theoretical exploration of the early spread of Marxism;Chen Duxiu's preliminary exploration of China's specific reality and social class Analyzing,absorbing and cultivating Marxists and using practical actions to wake up and raise workers' consciousness are his practical exploration of the early spread of Marxism.As an early Marxist,Chen Duxiu combined Marxism-Leninism with the Chinese Workers' Movement,promoted the continuous development of the working class and created the Communist Party of China.During his early period as the main leader of the Party,he led the whole Party to determine the nature,objectives and program of the Party,put forward the strategy of "two-step revolution",adopted the principle of establishing the revolutionary united front between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,and put forward the proletarian leadership ideology.These principles are the contributions he made in his attempt to integrate Marxism with the concrete reality of the Chinese revolution.At the same time,it points out that Chen Duxiu's limitations in the early spread of Marxism are manifested in the fact that his understanding of Marxism is not comprehensive and in-depth due to the influence of historical environment and his own growing background,which leads to the inappropriate conclusion of "the Second Revolution Theory".
