This paper is a case study of the interaction between rural social organizations and the state.Data were collected mainly through participant observation and semi-structured interview, and classified control theory and resource dependence theory were used as analysis tools. This study F village of elderly association development history can be divided into two phases: the growth period,in the legitimacy and resources under the double bind dilemma of F village old age association, through active strategy to gain the support of the formal organization itself, with the help of the formal organization directly and indirectly obtained the stable living resources, which has a rapid development. On the contrary, the formal organization strengthens the infiltration and control of the geriatric association in this kind of dependency relationship, and cultivates the geriatric association as the helper of village governance.Maintenance period, the official organization for classified administrative pressure control logic transfer intentions, begin to enter the daily operation of elderly association, and relying on the resources on the formal organization, elderly association also have to cater to the needs of the formal organization, only compliance to oneself the intervention condition, until being dominated by administrative power, from an autonomous social organizations to the village committee propaganda. The basic conclusion of this paper is: at present, the state still occupies a dominant or dominant position relative to the society, and social organizations survive in the institutional environment shaped by the state.Since many social organizations themselves do not have enough ability to absorb social resources, the strategy of attaching themselves to the state can allow them to expand certain development space and enhance their organizational capacity. However,it is difficult for dependent social organizations to independently decide their own development path.Once the state tries to transform them according to the logic of classification control, social organizations cannot resist the intervention of state forces, and may be absorbed by the state, eroding the autonomy of organizations.
