Research On The Factors Affecting The Income Of University Education Foundation Donation

The China University Education Foundation developed in the 1990s and made tremendous contributions to China’s education.Education funding is the basic guarantee for higher education.In recent years,with the increase of education cost and the expansion of higher education,the lack of funds in colleges and universities has become a bottleneck restricting the development of colleges and universities.Introducing social forces into the field of higher education development can effectively alleviate the pressure on colleges and universities and promote Higher education development.This paper firstly combs the related concepts and development history of college social donation,then analyzes the status quo and reasons of college donation income in China,and finds out the small scale of social donation in colleges and universities in China,the single form of donation,the volatility of fundraising,and the operation mechanism of funds.Imperfect and other issues.Finally,the paper analyzes the data of 343 college foundations in China from 2007 to 2016,and verifies them from the aspects of foundation expenditure policy,governance structure and basic information.It is concluded that the expenditures of the university foundation business activities have a significant positive impact on the donation income.Colleges and universities can increase the donation income by increasing business expenses and carrying out activities related to fundraising.At the same time,the number of board members and the length of the foundation’s establishment also have a positive impact on college donation income The longer the foundation established,the higher the visibility of the foundation,the easier it is to obtain overseas donations.Therefore,it is recommended that colleges and universities should establish foundations as soon as possible,appropriately expand the scale of the council,and open up fundraising channels.In addition,the brand awareness of colleges and universities also has a significant positive impact on donation income,especially when donating income abroad.It shows that people will consider the popularity of colleges and universities and the quality of teaching when donating to colleges and universities.The foundation assets of colleges and universities will produce economies of scale and have a role in bringing in donations.It is recommended that university foundations strengthen investment awareness and realize the preservation and appreciation of funds.Finally,based on the successful experience of foreign colleges and universities,this paper proposes policy recommendations based on the actual situation of college foundations in China.
