Improving Regulations Surrounding Thailand's Package Travel Contract Law

With the continuous development of Thai economy,tourism has become its major industry,occupying an important part in the development of its national economy.At the same time,Thai tourism occupies a dominant position in the international market,ranking in the top ten in the world tourism market.Although Thailand has a large scale of tourism and good economic benefits,it has not yet formed a relatively complete tourism legal system.At present,Thailand's tourism management is mainly based on the Tourism Business and Tourist Guide Act,which provides a relatively comprehensive regulation of tourism related content,including tourism supervision,qualification of tour guides,application for tourism business operating license,etc.However,the law contains few regulations on the legal basis of travel contracts.In travel contract,package travel contract plays as one of its important types.It is relatively complex and special in legal relationship,involving the rights and interests of many stakeholders.In practice,frequently give rise to dispute.Moreover,there are many deficiencies in the relevant legal regulation of package travel contract in Thailand at this stage.This paper mainly focuses on package travel contract,analyses its current problems and shortcomings,and formulates corresponding measures according to the reasons,hoping to further improve Thai laws and regulations in this particular area,and better protect the legitimate rights and interests of stakeholders.This research has important theoretical value for improving the legal norms and supervision system of package travel contract in Thailand.In addition,in practice,it will help to protect the rights and interests of tourists,maintain the normal order of the Thai tourism market,and promote a proper development of the Thai tourism industry.In this paper,comparative method and literature method are mainly used in the research.Firstly,based on Thailand's tourism laws and regulations,this paper analyzes the relevant contents of its package travel contract,in order to further understand the evolution process and specific status of Thailand's tourism laws and regulations.According to the research,the laws and regulations of package tour contract in Thailand mainly include Consumer Protection Act,the Civil and Commercial Code,Tourism Business and Tourist Guide Act etc.Secondly,it analyses the current legislation situation of Thailand,combines the problems existing in the practice of package travel contract,finds the shortcomings of Thai law and the causes of the problems.Thirdly,according to other Thai domestic laws and regulations as well as China's regulations onpackage travel contracts,we can draw experience and advantages from them,in order to improve regulations surrounding Thailand's package travel contract law,so as to improve Thai tourism law and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of tourism-related groups.
