How Does Intergenerational Support Affect The Health Of The Elderly?

China's population structure and scale show the trend of miniaturization,fewer children and core,and the weakening of family pension function has caused a great impact on China's traditional family pension model.In October 2017,the report of the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC)reiterated the importance of the work on aging,calling for the establishment of a policy system and a social environment for providing for the aged,showing filial piety and respect for the aged,as well as the implementation of a healthy China strategy to actively respond to the aging population.The health of the aged has become the focus of national and social concern,with practical significance.This article is based on the Chinese elderly health factors affecting tracking(CLHLS)data in 2014,mainly using structural equation model,discusses the children's emotional support,care and financial support three generations support behavior of subjective and objective health in the elderly and the impact of each dimension,and connecting with the urban and rural differences in the packet inspection,in order to more fully to find different forms of intergenerational support for the elderly health effects of difference between each dimension.The results show that the intergenerational support provided by children has a positive effect on the subjective health of the elderly,and has a health effect.Intergenerational support has a negative inhibitory effect on the objective health of the elderly,showing a selective effect.The objective health of the elderly has a positive effect on promoting their subjective health;Among the three dimensions of intergenerational support,emotional support plays a more significant role in promoting the subjective health of the elderly,followed by nursing support and finally financial support.Intergenerational support for the elderly health effect exists in urban and rural areas,such as age difference,compared with old town,rural elderly in the intergenerational support for the health of the elderly subjective health effect and the choice of intergenerational support for the elderly health objective effect is more intense,in elderly than young man,more emotional support and care support requirements.Finally,in order to further clear the status of family endowment in the old-age security system,perfect the family endowment policies,this paper puts forward some Suggestions,including preferential tax policy,is supporting the elderly for home children,special additional deduction can be appropriately reduced taxes,children,expenditure for the elderly health services for appropriate tax breaks and subsidies.We will formulate personalized preferential policies for renting houses,renovate or build communities suitable for the elderly,promote "family housing",and encourage children to live with the elderly.We will improve social compensation and welfare policies and the long-term care insurance system.We will introduce legislation to establish paid paternity leave and paternity leave.We will encourage our children to visit our homes more often and provide care and support to the elderly.The government should put the care for the elderly into education policy,not only to strengthen the propaganda of filial piety culture,but also to encourage children to feed back the culture of the elderly;At the same time,it is necessary to increase the legal sanctions against maltreatment and abandonment of the elderly,and let the old have a happy old age,and those who follow will have a promising future..
